Winlogon Files Locations In Xp, Want to Use .bat file

Featured Replies

Can anybody mention about winlogon location in XP

I would like to use xxx.bat file during the windows logging run automatically itself

Thanks in Advance

If it's for all users, add a registry entry (type REG_SZ and name of your choice)there :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Its value should contain the full path to the batch you need to run.

If it's only for one user, log on with this user and add the entry there:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

or copy your xxx.bat file to this folder. (it will run each logon)

C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\User\Scripts\Logon
