Graznok
Hi,I would like to get a list of domains which was visited by users (there is a domain with Active Directory on the LAN). Is there a way to get some log file (not error log file) in which all resolved domain name are listed? What I want to do is to have the same kind of stats offered by OpenDNS.Thank you! cluberti
These features don't exist in the inbox DNS server for Windows. You'd have to use something 3rd party that had these features if you want or need them, although this sounds more like a job for a proxy server than a DNS server. Graznok
Thank you for your reply.I don't (and don't want to) use any proxy, but you're right. I will check if some piece of software can monitor DNS activity.
Graznok
I finally found how to log requests. In the MMC DNS server's Properties dialog, tab Debug Logging, I checked inbound, UDP and requests packets, and chose to save them in a log file.I had tried this before, but the log file didn't get filled by any informations. In fact, the log file is written periodicaly. And this works great!
