Hi Sp0iLedBrAt,

I appreciate your response but unfortunately the link you gave me goes way over my 67-year-old 'brain housing group'.

I am really just curious why the last entry in my Event Viewer is 01-31-2010.

Thanks and regards,

5.131.2600.5512 is the last version on my PC. According to the numbers, it probably came with Service Pack 3. The Event Viewer entry probably shows some event concerning the file on the given date - information, error, audit... to be more exact, when it was accessed for some kind of use.

Which OS are you using? I have XP 32-bit with SP3

Hi again,

Thanks for the fast response.

I am using WinXP SP3 fully patched and updated.

I did a search for 'Crypt32.dll' after your post and the version # I get is the same one you posted so I guess I have the latest one.

What was listed in my Event Viewer was put in as 'Information' and said: Successful auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence number from: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootseq.txt>

The date was 1-29-2010 not 1-31-2010 as I previously mentioned.

Thanks and regards,

Some third-party application on your PC, according to Google search, has called for a certificate list. Nothing to be worried about; it will report an Error if the certificate can not be downloaded.

Enjoy
