My network places not showing CD Drives

Hi im using XP and im trying to connect to my Windows 7 account using my network places, i can do this successfully although i cannot view the cd drives so i can't view my dvds which i could before when our pc was on vista. What do i have to do to view the CD drives on my laptop?

1) right click on your cd drive

2) go to sharing and security

3) share it (change the name from the drive letter to 'CD' making it easily idenitfiable)

4) open my network places

5) go to Add a network place

6) browse to your computer and you should see the share folder 'CD' available for selection
