listing files and folders in a DDF file for makecab...

Hi, all !!!

Please i need help to compress many files and folders in many cab files. So i read that manual and but only shows how to add one file o few files, if i use semicolon (*) for files does not work so i need to list "files and folders and subfolders" to include in a DDF file.

Could you give us some more information, are you looking for a simple script solution?

Where are the files you wish to compress are they all together and not mixed with other files?

If you give us some paths etc. we should be able to give you a solution!

Yes, of course.

My files and folders and subolders resides in a folder called (e:\f2) . I need to compress all files, folders and subolders together that resides inside folder "f2" but excluding "the base path" i.e. "f2".

The resulting cabinets files are stored in a media (like CDROM or DVD), so all cabinets files are placed into root of media.

First you need to start by writing the topmost section of the directive file.

ECHO/.Set Cabinet=ON>MY.DDF
ECHO/.Set Compress=ON>>MY.DDF
etc.

You can get the information you require from here.

When you've done that, come back to us with some full file structures etc. for both the source and destinations.

well, the script before makes a ddf file with only (.Set cabinet and .set compress), really???. but now, i have to tell you some files and folders that i have ???

P.D. I upload the format of my ddf... it is correct my ddf ???
