BSOD with XP Pro 32bit and 3ware 9.5.3 drivers using nlite.

If anyone could help, I would be most appreciative.

I am attempting to slipstream the latest 3ware RAID drivers for the 9690SA raid controller with XP Pro 32bit. After I create the slipstream disk with nlite and load the operating system, XP copies the files to the hard drives on the RAID array which are in RAID 1 configuration.

When the computer restarts to install the files, the green dots go across the XP splash screen and then I get a BSOD. The BSOD is a 07b, which indicates something wrong with the hard drive or controller. I've changed both with no success. I am loading the text drivers but I keep getting the same result. For some reason, the nlite disk enables the copying of the XP installation files to the hard drives in the RAID array, but once the RAID array attempts to boot and install those files, I get a BSOD 07b.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? When I do it the old-fashioned way using a USB floppy drive and F6, everything goes beautifully.

The last session.ini is attached.

Hardware config:

3ware 9690SA RAID controller on Intel S5520SC motherboard with 2 W5580 CPU's.

I truly appreciate your help.

Roger.

4875720, been there, done that. Please see here. I, too am running a 3Ware RAID controller (RAID5 right now). See the link and delete a few lines from the txtsetup.oem (or use Fernando 1's file) and you are good-to-go. Enjoy, John.
