PS - If we get this fixed, I will pay you-

It seems like you've helped dozens and dozens of people, so I'll pitch in for them too.

the ATAport uses most CPU, but the following driver has the DPC latencies:

Total = 33 for module netbt.sys

Elapsed Time, > 1024 usecs AND <= 2048 usecs, 0, or 0.00%

Elapsed Time, > 2048 usecs AND <= 4096 usecs, 27, or 81.82%

Elapsed Time, > 4096 usecs AND <= 8192 usecs, 6, or 18.18%

netbt.sys is related to NetBIOS. Do you still use this? If not, disable it in the network connection options.

1 Interrupt is casued by this driver:

Total = 1075 for module i8042prt.sys

Elapsed Time, > 16384 usecs AND <= 32768 usecs, 1, or 0.09%

this is the PS/2 driver. Do you still use a PS/2 mouse or keyboard?

Andre,

Where can I find the area to disable the netbt.sys/NetBIOS option?

I do use a PS/2 mouse AND keyboard.

I found the netbt.sys... but I am not sure what to change-

I am guessing it's the part named 'Legacy'... although when I try to change that, it won't let me... it says "error when setting new value"

I disabled the NetBIOS, and I've tried different mouse/keyboards with USB connection... still no difference.

I've made sure that my chipset and LAN drivers for my MOBO are up to date... the only thing I have NOT messed with is my BIOS... it just doesn't make sense that this would start happening out of no where due to BIOS... I'm using a version of BIOS that is a little over 2 years old now, and there haven't been any issues until a few days back.

Here is a new ETL file... maybe you can see something different here.

it is the same:

Total = 37 for module netbt.sys

Elapsed Time, > 4096 usecs AND <= 8192 usecs, 36, or 97.30%

Total = 63 for module i8042prt.sys

Elapsed Time, > 16384 usecs AND <= 32768 usecs, 2, or 3.17%

Elapsed Time, > 32768 usecs AND <= 65536 usecs, 3, or 4.76%

try to disable the lmhosts service.

Disabled the lmhosts service, still having the same issues.

Any other ideas? Thanks for your continued help.

I just found something else too!

This is what my BSOD errors were saying back when I was getting them... Stop 0x000000D1 (00009789 00000002 00000001 bf7eef09)

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

This hotfix is for windows 2000... could it work for my system with Windows 7?

This is my last attempt before I start calling Microsoft and spending hours on the phone accomplishing nothing...
