I am running 2 4870 X2 card in crossfireX, Q9650 CPU @ 4GHz, and 4x2GB RAM.:The Desktop Window Manager is experiencing heavy resource contention. Scenario : The Desktop Window Manager responsiveness has degraded. The event data says:EventData DisplayDeviceFriendlyNameLength 22 DisplayDeviceFriendlyName ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 MemoryBandwidth 24134000 MemorySize 4013117440 Scenario 3
cluberti Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 It's saying the device driver for that device has a queued instruction depth that isn't clearing fast enough. Are you running the latest driver for that card?
ElAguila Posted November 23, 2009 Author Posted November 23, 2009 I have the latest driver installed. I will remove the driver and use a driver cleaner and reinstall and see what happens.
