LisaTech Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I have been cruising the forums for the Media 11 installation and can't seem to pinpoint the exact instructions for doing a silent install of Media11. I know there are automated tools that work wonderfully but the environment I am in requires no outside 3rd party tools. The install runs fine (apparently) but when the Media 11 is invoked it is the 'old' msgs:"...application has failed to start because WMDRMSDK.DLL was not found."AND"... wmplayer has version number of 11.0.5721.5145 where 9.0.0.4503 was expected."I understand this has to do with the WGA etc.... If someone could be so kind as to jot down a quick overview of what is required that might give me a hand into the right direction...Thanks in advance - there certainly is lots of great information on this site...
HØLLØW Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 (edited) Hi LisaTech,I also prefer to not use 3rd party tools.I'm installing the WMP11 in the "SVCPACK.INF" fil in the I386 folder on my XP-CD:"WMP11.exe /Q:A /R:N /c:""SETUP_WM.EXE /Q /R:N /NoPID /DisallowSystemRestore /P: #e"""This works fine for me without any errors.
