boogerlad
If I have a perfected windows 7 install with my apps, docs and such on it, and I use imagex to generate an image/.wim file, can I just make a modified windows 7 iso by switching out the default install.wim to the new image? Would it install the image, or is it more complex than that? I'm still reading the technet articles...
maxXPsoft
thats what you basically do is mount and modify the install.wim in the sources dir then create iso and burn it
boogerlad
Could you make a .wim from scratch instead of modifying one? Like, create image of D: and turn it in .wim, and replace the stock windows 7 one?
maxXPsoft
haven't tried that but should work cause thats what OEMs do, capture with PE type.
