angahran
Hi,I've been trying to put together a 'disaster recovery' disc to replace my current one which is starting to show its age.I've found some very useful information about WinPE and how to have multiple boot images with it.However I have hit a minor snag.I cannot seem to find a way to add the ia64 image to the boot menu.It appears that the ia64 WinPE uses a different set of boot files than the x86/amd64 images.I'd really like to get all three boot options running from the same disc.If anyone has any advice/ideas/suggestions I'd be grateful.Thanks.Ang.P.s.Just had another thought. Is it possible to create a merged ISO that has the Windows 7 AIK (KB3AIK_EN) plus WinPE ?Would be a sort of superdisk.Ang. CoffeeFiend
"It appears that the ia64 WinPE uses a different set of boot files than the x86/amd64 images"Considering the Itanium is a totally different architecture, it's anything but surprising (not only WinPE would be different but pretty much everything ran on it -- unlike amd64 which is backward compatible with x86). What's surprising is that there are some people out there who bought Itanic systems Also, moved to WinPE section.
