good day all.

lately whenever wei boot our PCs, two small windows appear with the same message "cannot find script file c:\windows\auto1.vbs"

we just click "ok" and the windows disappear. our mcafee anti virus is updated and we've done scans, but the two windows still pop up during boot.

help anyone...

Click on the Start button, go to "Run..." and type in the new box "msconfig" without the quotes. Now go to the start-up tab and un-tick the box that says "auto1.vbs". Restart and you are good to go

did what you advised, and that window sure disappeared... now out of curiosity, how did it get there in the first place?

Most likely it was some sort of malware that got picked up by your anti-virus but it left its entry in the start-up items. Glad you solved your issue
