rldelrosario Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 good day all.lately whenever wei boot our PCs, two small windows appear with the same message "cannot find script file c:\windows\auto1.vbs"we just click "ok" and the windows disappear. our mcafee anti virus is updated and we've done scans, but the two windows still pop up during boot. help anyone...thanks
nitroshift Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Click on the Start button, go to "Run..." and type in the new box "msconfig" without the quotes. Now go to the start-up tab and un-tick the box that says "auto1.vbs". Restart and you are good to go Good luck!

nitroshift Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Most likely it was some sort of malware that got picked up by your anti-virus but it left its entry in the start-up items. Glad you solved your issue
