yetanothername Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 When I try to install 7 RTM on my HP Mini 1000, I can't due to lack of hard drive space (The built in SSD is only 8GB) I successfully installed Windows 7 Beta a while ago (modified by vLite to fit), but put Vista on it because it was more stable. However, I'm trying again with the final version of Windows 7 and when I try to boot the image I made, I run into an error. It appears like I've removed all of the disk and controller drivers somehow because the setup program asks me to give it a disk driver. Here is my settings file:; vLite preset file;;#Environment:; vLite v1.2; Framework 2.0.50727.4927; Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7600.0 32-bit;;#Target:; Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL 32-bit ; Version 6.1 English (United States);[Compatibility]Aero GlassInternet ExplorerWindows Update[CustomHide][Components];# Accessories #AccessibilityGames-Game ExplorerMobility CenterSnipping ToolSpeech SupportWelcome CenterWordpad;# Languages #ArabicBrazillianBulgarianCroatianCzechDanishDutchEstonianFinnishFrenchGermanGreekHebrewHungarianItalianJapaneseKoreanLatvianLithuanianNorwegianPolishPortugueseRomanianRussianSerbianSimplified ChineseSlovakSlovenianSpanishSwedishTable Driven Text Input ProcessorThaiTraditional ChineseTurkishUkrainian;# Multimedia #Intel IndeoMedia CenterMedia Metadata HandlerMusic and Video samplesSample PicturesScreensaversShell event soundsSideShowSound Recorder;# Network #Windows Mail;# System #BeepBitLocker Drive EncryptionCrash Dump SupportDisk QuotaHelpIMAPIv2 Burning SupportJet Database EngineManual Install (Setup.exe)Microsoft Client For NFSMicrosoft Message Queue (MSMQ)Natural LanguageParental ControlsRemote Differential CompressionRun a legacy CPL elevatedSecurity CenterSoftware Quality Management (SQM)Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA)Sync CenterSystem RestoreTablet PCWindows Easy Transfer[Options]DEP (Data Execution Prevention) = DefaultUser Account Control (UAC) = EnabledAntiSpyware Realtime Protection = DefaultMemory requirement = DefaultAutoPlay = DisabledPaging Executive = EnabledPower scheme = BalancedPower button = ShutdownSleep button = HibernateControl Panel - Classic View = DefaultShow hidden files and folders = NoShow protected operating system files = YesShow extensions for known file types = YesIE Phishing Filter = EnabledIE Phishing Verification Ballon Tips = Enabled[Services][Protection][Drivers][Unattended]AcceptEULANetworkLoc = 3ProtectPC = 1[Hotfixes][LanguagePacks]
Octopuss Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I beleive you checked Manual install and upgrade (or whatever the exact component name is) for removal. I know I got the same error (give me driver you bastard!), the setup yelled for DVD drive driver (wtf?).Try that.
