Prevent programs from suggesting changes to my default search provider

Featured Replies

Hi, is there anyone please who knows the tweak for "Prevent programs from suggesting changes to my default search provider". I have tried to change it manually and see what are the changes in the register but without success.

Thanks

If it's any help to you, when you put a checkmark in the box next to:

"prevent programs from suggesting changes to my default search provider"

as described here:

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...bd6b31033.mspx

Adding and removing that checkmark makes Binary Data changes in the

following Key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\User Preferences

"6256FFB019F8FDFBD36745B06F4540E9AEAF222A25"

Type: REG_BINARY
