FAO jcarle WUD 2.4: "This application has encountered a problem a

Every time i run 2.4, it crashes "This application has encountered a problem and needs to close". I am running Win XP Pro SP3, using the UL XP SP3 2009-08-21.

Its obviously a .NET related problem, here is the error in the event log.
