recycle bin sorting problems

Hello, does anyone know how to fix recycle bin sorting problems?

My bin orders the files first by folders, then by drive and then by the selected column.. the result is messy.

My error is related to my OS cd only, because I've exported the registry keys to another computer and they work perfectly there.

Is there a .DLL or something just for the bin that can be safely replaced?

This error appears on both SP2 and SP3. Could it be created by TweakUI or SafeXP maybe?

Thanks for the answer, but "Show in Groups" wasn't checked and any view isn't saved anyway after reopen.

All changes to the bin work only if I add then each time.. but that is just frustrating.

On my OS (WINXP Pro) I have a default view for all folders plus personalized views for each directory. ALL is ok, except for the **** bin.

On another computer, the current registry keys work also for the recycler .

Ok, here are the pictures.

The "wrong" image shows the order I see every time I open the bin (folders - disk - date, all in descending order).

The "good" one, instead, shows the correct view I obtain if I click the "Date Delete" column (two times of course).

It would be good to always have last view..can't stand it no more :\

Ahh maybe I solved it! Finally!!! :thumbup

Seems that the problems derived from permission settings.

On my drive I only have these ACLs:

Administrators -- Full Control

MyAccount -- Full Control

System -- Full Control

Users -- Read,List,Execute

Adding Write,Modify for "Users" fixed the bin!

Weird.. I wonder what are the right settings for that group.. does anyone know?

EDIT: I forgot to update this post because I went away for some time.

I rejoyced too early.. the problem has reappeared : (
