ACCURATETEC Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I need some help to install the DHCP client service.Windows XP pro sp3, cannot get an IP.Found the DHCP client missing from services. How do I install the service?
Ponch Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I'm not sure it helps but in mine's properties, Path to Executable says this: "C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs".
Guest Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Did you use nLite to remove it? If so you're probably going to need to remake your ISO and reinstall.

Guest Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 How to create a Windows service by using Sc.exeHow To Create a User-Defined ServiceIf you dig around microsoft.com you will find some individual resource kit tools. I'm not sure this avenue will recreate the DHCP service to it's factory condition. I poked around the registry entries and some of them seem to be specific to the PC it's on.
