thehawk71
re: - TOSHIBA LAPTOP P300PRINTER: EPSON ALL-IN-ONE - CX8400O/S - VISTA HOME PREMIUM SP2 64 BITI have tried to install the driver for this printer but the only results I get is an error message "do not recognize port"The Epson install disk ends with everything showing A-ok and the printer is shown in Device Manager. However, there is no listing in Ports & Com or in USB .The PC will operate the Scan feature of the printer; the printer works fine on it's own internal program BUT IT WILL NOT OPERATE PRINT COMMAND FROM PC! The program works ok on my other PC with XP and the same direct USB cable. Edited August 18, 2009 by thehawk71
cluberti
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibi...n&os=64-bitAccording to the compat site, it's compatible, but you need "Epson EasyPrint 3.10" installed on x64 Vista as well as the driver before it'll work. Not sure how accurate it is, but I'm guessing it's fairly accurate.
Kotuku
Assume you followed the installation instructions and did NOT have the printer connected when the software was installed? You have to only plug it in at the point in the installation tells you to, that way it finds the correct port.
