I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite P300 laptop. As a computer, it's excellent. It's operating system, Vista Home Premium 64 bit leaves a lot to be desired. The most common and obvious problem is I have downloaded at least 6 programs that download OK BUT REFUSE TO INSTALL. I can't help but think this many common problems have to be the result of 1 major problem. Problem is, I can't find it, for love or money!! One of the most obvious problems is that the majority of them are Microsoft who has proven to be totally useless in helping me. Some of the programs are: Microsoft Vista Service Pack 2, Windows Defender(reinstall), Silverlight(reinstall), Windows Live Onecare, Windows Photo Library, etc., etc.. I've thought of loading Windows XP on to a USB stick and using it after I've powered up with the Vista. I'm informed this is a major problem not worthy of time or effort. It was mentioned that I might try my idea with Linux. EVERYTHING TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION, IT WOULD BE MUCH MORE DESIRABLE IF i COULD NAIL DOWN THE CURRENT PROBLEM AND LET EVERYTHING BE THE STATUS PRO!!!
