Vista SP2 on VMware Server mouse keyboard problem

Hello,

i am trying to make a light installation of Vista for testing environment (VMware Server 1.0.8). Problem is that just after installation on a first Vista boot mouse and keyboard stops working, during installation everything works. Leaving all drivers and hardware support doesn't help. So i am a bit confused, witch component cuts mouse and keyboard functionality? Using original Vista installation causes no problem. Thanks.
