F1refly Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 i'm using Windows 7 to make an Nlite CD. when i slipstream SP3 into XP sp1 with Nlite, upon install it wont accept my key, yes its very legit.I understand that W7 might be the issue, i have no alternative OS atm.So what if i ran Nlite in compatability mode? any other solution?
johnhc Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 (edited) F1refly, there are a number of threads about this very subject. One was very recent. The bottom line is there is no known solution. Please do a search and find the relevant threads. The obvious solution is not to slip SP3. Add it after you install XP. Are you going to install it on the machine now running W7 or a new machine? Either way, another solution is to install XP on the machine and use it to run nLite and build an ISO to install. Also you can use a virtual system (VMware Server, VirtualPC, VirtualBox - all free), install XP on it and run nLite there. Compatibility mode does not help. Good luck, John.EDIT: Here's the recent thread. Edited July 28, 2009 by johnhc
