You need Auto-Patcher for 98SE by soporific.

BUT you need to run that PRIOR to installing 98SE2ME!

I don't know of any autopatcher for ME but I suspect you are meaning the Service Pack for ME by the_guy. No that is for full-blown ME only.

If you read the 98SE2ME ReadMe Text Guide it states install all the updates, hotfixes and patches prior to the installation of 98SE2ME.
