Hi,

I'm doing some compression of executable with UPX. Then I associate some files to that executable. I choose some icon from that specific executable for associated file. In Widows XP, icon is showed on associated file, but in Vista x64 no icon is showed, it shows like unknown file type. I know that I associated correctly, because when I replaced that executable with an uncompressed, icon are showed on Vista x64. What do you think, is this some problem with Vista or UPX? Does anyone know for some alternative for UPX, or for some other tool that can compress resources inside executable.

Sometimes when using a Resource Hacker to open some Icon Group inside executable I get message "This file has a non-standard resource layout... it has probably been compressed with an "EXE compressor"."

Which compressors might that be? Thanks for any suggestion.

Cheers ;)
