ski_webby
HiI have 2 computers networked (one with XP, one with 98SE) through a switch and a cable modem connected to a router which is then connected back to a switch, yet I can only access the net on the XP computer when the 98SE computer is turned on and logged in. I tried connecting the cable modem directly to the XP computer, and that worked fine, but as soon as I plugged it back into the router, it went back to its original state. I suspect it has something to do with the network set-up, as when I installed the home network using the XP wizard (on both computers) it didn't have the option to use a router. I can sometimes share files between the two computers but other times I cannot. Any suggestions?
