Is it possible to extract WINXP key from Nlite customized windows?

The thing is this, i had a valid Windows XP cd & key that i used to make a customized Nlite installation CD.

However, now i am in the situation to have lost the old valid XP cd & key with it, and want to install windows 100% original again.

So is there a way to extract the product key from the Nlite Windows CD? That would be of great help to me.

Second question. This key im using came from an old Windows XP Professional CD without any service packs.

Is it possible to use this valid key with a new service packed Win XP cd? Or does it have to be exactly that version of windows (non serviced..)

It can be any service packed version.
