aidzan Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Hi,I just recently installed Windows XP using nLite and have came across a problem with sharing my folders through my Network. Basially I would like to share a folder from my PC upstairs (which has the nLite slipstreamed to XP SP3) with the computer downstairs which is connected to my TV (XP SP3).I keep running into problems with it, as I can share from the downstairs PC to a Laptop running Vista no problem, but cannot get any shared folders from the nlite PC either on Desktop PC or Laptop. When I try to Map the Network drive I get the following Error "The network path \\[PC Name]\[share Name] could not be found". I have also tried with the IP of the computer as the server but to no avail, even when Pinging the IP through Command Prompt it times out.I am just wondering if there is anything that I might have disabled in nLite that would cause this to happen, any help would be appreciated
johnhc Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 aidzan, I use VMware Server to test my ISOs and it uses a virtual connection between the host and VM. I am able to share folders between the two machines with no problems. Please post a screen shot of your error and, attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.
