epicelite Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 How would I go about integrating IE8 into nLite? I tried doing it just like with IE7 but it doesn't work.
Guest Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) You have other options:Internet Explorer 8 w/upd. XP Addons by OnePieceInternet Explorer 8 RTM Slipstream Addon (Alternate link) by Sereby (needs updating)Internet Explorer 8 x64 AddOn (Alternate link) by 5eraph (me) Edited June 20, 2009 by 5eraph
epicelite Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 Thanks, which one would you suggest I use? I am doing a copy of XP Home 32bit.
Guest Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I like Sereby's, but OnePiece's is up to date and uninstallable. I don't know when Sereby will find the time to update his English addon; he's primarily a German update pack and addon maker.
epicelite Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 Well I am not German so I guess that settles that. :3While we are at it can I integrate that Framework .net 2.0 thing?
Guest Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) Not directly, but switchless installers exist to do that kind of thing. Edited June 20, 2009 by 5eraph
epicelite Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 Switchless installer?Hay do you have AIM or MSN or something?
Guest Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) A switchless installer is an installation package designed to be used during Windows setup. They're also known as silent installers or switchless silent installers, but all of these are often misnomers. The package may take switches at the command line, or they may not operate silently, or both. They are only intended to install their payload without user intervention. These installers can be inserted into the Windows setup routine through SvcPack.inf, cmdlines.txt, or RunOnceEx/GUIRunOnce.
