the_pagey Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Hi, this is really just an annoyance to me but it is bugging me. I have a red vertical line about 3 cm from the left of my screen and just recently a blue line about 1 cm to the right of the first one! The first one appeared just after I installed an update to my iTunes and the blue one just appeared, no new installs or anything! I have done a full factory reset but this did not clear the problem. It's not the screen because the lines only appear when XP starts to boot up, not when the pc is first switched on. Anyone have any ideas? I'm running XP home if it matters!
Ponch Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Laptop/desktop would be a good info. Also testing with an other (external?) screen would be more decisive to rule out defective screen. The fact you tried factory setup with no change is not good.
