How to downgrade to XP from this laptop Asus F81SE

You cant do a downgrade preserving your Vista stuff if that's what you are asking.

Just in case this is what you are asking...

Install by booting up your XP CD. Delete or just format the Vista OS partition when you get to that point then install it in that partition.

satanist2001, what are you trying to down grade to? I assume XP. You need to find drivers for your chip set and other controllers in your system and an (assume XP) install CD. Please give us more information. Enjoy, John.

actually what i meant was to reinstall windows xp os and forget bout the vista. But any idea where do i get the drivers for the chipset to be slimstreamed via nlite???

satanist2001, when you say reinstall, I assume it once had XP? You still are very stingy on your information - 32 or 64 bit XP? I looked at the ASUS site and found XP drivers and SiS site has drivers but I did not find M671DX. I suggest you try Google (or your favorite) as well as these two sites. There are too many variables in your first post data. So, you need to search for what you need for exactly what HW you have. Enjoy, John.
