June 12, 200917 yr hi all im new here to the forum, great to be here. I have read a LOT of usefull stuff here from a lot of members who know what they are talking about... its a refreshing change! Most people in South Africa are more worried about being right rather than solving the actual problem!! Perhaps someone could assist with the below?I have this issue with a 1TB 7200.11 hard drive. Its SATA.I have tried lots of thigns swapped out cables, ports, tested in another computer and still no go. The OSes (Mac and Windows) both pick up the drives and you can navigate them for about 20 seconds before Windows pops "Delayed Write Failed" notices and Mac gives "Error code data could not be read or written" notices. After that both OSes stop responding for a while and the hard disk cannot be navigated (though it is still seen). Checkdisk tests passed as well as another 'data recovery disc' tried that was at hand, but still nothing.any ideas? Cheers
