Elevate my applications permissions (Windows + .NET 2005/2008)...

Recommended Posts

I'm working in an environment where there are Windows 2000 and Windows XP clients. Code is written in VB.NET 2008 targeting .NET 2.0 framework.

I've been looking into methods of elevating the permissions for my applications based on a local admin account or network account. I have working examples where I create a new process using these elevated permissions, but I would like to elevate my current applications permissions.

Does anyone know of any native .NET methods or APIs I can use to elevate my running applications permissions?

TIA!
