Because HP forgot to disable intelppm on HP PCs running on AMD, HP AMD users have a problem installing Windows XP SP3.

Is it possible that I can patch the disk so that I won't have problems running it.

Note: First attempt in making nLite disk.

As I know, the problem only occurs when a lower SP-Level than SP3 is installed

and then upgraded to SP3 by installation. When you use nLite, you`ve got the chance

to integrate SP3, so a later installation of SP3 is not needed.

AngelRayne, although I agree with g-force, I would go ahead and include KB953356. I seem to remember that others have had problems with this and nLite. I would also comment that as I understand this problem, it is an MS goof-up - releasing an Intel CPU driver in SP3 even on AMD processors. Please let us know what you learn so others can benefit.
