dr.zick
Hey I got a laptop (and I can't change out any of the hardware), and I want to make a slimmed down version of XP that only has the drivers for the hardware on the laptop (why would I need anything more). Can there be a way to remove all drivers other than the attached hardware? Or is there any other tool out there that allows me to parse through DRIVERS.CAB to get rid of everything not needed? Thanks.
g-force
I`m not sure...but maybe you use nLite to remove all drivers and then integrate the drivers you need?
johnhc
dr.zick, I think you should at least look at the warnings in the component removal section. For example, removing the CPU driver may be a problem, also battery support on a lap top. Finding drivers of your own to replaced removed ones may also be problematical. But I agree with g-force, give it a try and let us know how it works out. Enjoy, John.
