Anyone know how nLite sequences the hotfix list? (a search here on +hotfix +sequencing produced nul, and I don't see it in tutorials, etc.)

On the totorial page, a screenshot of the hotfix listing page shows nLite reads the file build dates -- does nLite use internal file build dates for sequencing?

Or are they sequenced as displayed on the list -- in which case I could set the last modified on my file to build date (or release date), and use that for sequencing

total noob here > would build date/release date a good key for sequencing? In that case, I can rename some hotfix files as desired.

thanks

Molecule, nice avatar. You do the sequencing. NLite takes them in order presented. You should have the oldest at the top of the list. If you include IE7 and/or WMP11, then any updates should follow. RyanVM's site offers Update Packs with accumulated updates and you can get the proper order there. Here is my standard inculcation: Please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
