Megacherv Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I have a copy of XP Pro that doesn't have SP2 or SP3 on it, and I'm wanting to get a MacBook and use Boot Camp to have a dual boot of XP, which requires SP2 or higher pre-loaded on the disc. Will integrating a service pack with nLite work with Boot Camp?
johnhc Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Megacherv, I know nothing about Mac computers or Boot Camp, but I see no reason an nLited CD would not install if a Windows XP SP2/3 CD will. Enjoy, John.
kahlil88 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 TinyXP works, so I'm going to guess a slipstreamed copy of WinXP will work as well. The only problem is if the installer doesn't offer to reformat the partition as NTFS, because for some reason these Macs can't boot Windows off a FAT32 partition.
Megacherv Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 Well, I think that Boot Camp does all the installing, not the installer that's on the disc, so it'll set all the partitions up and drive types etc. Thanks for letting me know, I look forward to using it when I get my MacBook
