Mehraban Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Hello,I have 100 DELL computers and every dell computers has the product key stickers.. and I have a CD preinstalled from a DELL company for DELL computers only... If i use this cd it would not ask me to enter the product key and somehow it picks the DELL key automatically from the board or i dont know how...I wanna join these computers to my Domain controller.I want two things here1) to create unattanded cd of original preinstalled DELL to not ask me to put the key and everything should be automatic 2) also if possible to join the domain automatically... and little advise i would need for naming of computers..so I want everything automatically so i can set and drink coffee ehhehe sorry for my poor englishthanking you in advance/Mehraban
johnhc Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Mehraban, 100 computers? Are all these your personal computers? NLite's EULA does not allow business or commercial use. Please read the license agreement in the nLite folder. Enjoy, John.
g-force Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 (edited) Maybe you create a "winnt.sif" with an eye, that takes a look at the sticker on the computer... Sorry for sarcasmn, but I´m wondering you`d like to setup 100 DELL-PCs and don`t know how.Are you new to business? nLite can`t be the answer due to it`s licence - no commercial use.In Domains at 100 PCs normally a Volume-Licence by MS takes place. You want to use 100 different keys?I`m still wondering... Edited March 31, 2009 by g-force

You want to use 100 different keys?I`m still wondering... thanks for reply and forgive me if I sound unprofessional. it is because I am new.If our computers have a Product Key stickers and the keys are all different from eachothers and some pcs are also differents like HP,DELL Do we still need to deal with Volume-Licensing? or we need to deal with Client Access License?I guess since we bought the computer expensive because it has product key and we can use it. then that is would be okay i think and we dont need the volume licensing. because we paid once MS by purching computers with xp key.I am running Ghost currently and dealing with pcs.. But i wanted to create automatic cd and if the nlite doesnt support it then i respect the rules and I would not use it for commercial use /Mehraban

iamtheky Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 All changes to your source are not completely documented and there is no paid support for the utility and no warranty. What about that solution makes you want to be responsible for its behavior in your environment. If they are all on your network, and you have ghost enterprise, wouldnt ghostcasting be easier than disc loading all 100?

Kelsenellenelvian Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Then I suggest you look at driverpacks.net...nLite as you have been told is not the solution for you.
