Hotfixes and drivers

I don't really get where I find all the hotfixes to streamline with my vista install. I found this web page, but it wasn't really that helpful. I went to where they said and searched for "windows vista" and I wasn't really sure which ones I need. So is there any way I can easily find all of the hotfixes up until now and download all of them to include in my install disk?

Also, I want to know if I just need the .exe file to integrate drivers with my install. Like if I download a driver from ati it only gives me an executable file. Is that all I need? I'd probably be able to figure it out, but I'm waiting on the WAIK download right now so I can't check it out.
