kornphlake Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I downloaded Nlite and tried to install it, turns out I didn't have the .net framework installed so I followed the link on the download page to donwload .net 2.0, downloaded it and ran the installer. Immediately I was prompted by windows update to upgrade the newest version of .net (3.0???) I let the update run and install the latest version. After making sure there were no other updates I again tried to install Nlite but I keep getting an error, something about a previous version of .net is needed? I'm not sure what to do now, I can't get the installer to do anything without .net and with the most recent version I can't do anything. So far this is looking like a pretty useless program. If it matters I'm running Windows XP (32 bit.)
johnhc Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 kornphlake, I assume you restarted your computer the appropriate number of times. Please post a screen shot of the error message. Look in Add/Remove and see what version(s) of .NET you have installed and report. Did you check the MD5 of the nLite DL? If not, please check it. Enjoy, John.
kornphlake Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 I must have needed one more restart after installing the updates, I tried running the install again to get a screen shot of the error and the program installed fine. I rebooted once already, it's weird that it'd need more than one restart.
