west117wolf
I have a very simple problem. A friend has Vista and wants to uninstall a program, but he cannot locate in the control panel any icon for "add remove programs" which is present in Windows XP.Can someone tell me where he can look to find a way to uninstall. ThanksWestley
Kotuku
Wish they were all this easy <smile>Open Control Panel in CLASSIC VIEW and double click PROGRAMS & FEATURES and there ya go!As you are used to Win XP putting Control Panel in the Classic view should make it easier to find things for you?KotukuI should have added, if he has 32 Bit Vista, then Google for REVO UNINSTALLER (it doesn't work in 64 bit) and that will be a much better uninstaller for the future (you to in XP)

Guest vnvnvn2000
You can uninstall a program from your computer if you no longer use it or if you want to free up space on your hard disk. You can use Programs and Features to uninstall programs or to change the program's configuration by adding or removing certain options.1. Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.2. Select a program, and then click Uninstall. Some programs include the option to change or repair the program in addition to uninstalling it. but many simply offer the option to uninstall. To change a program, click Change or Repair. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.NoteIf the program that you want to uninstall is not listed, it might not have been written for this version of Windows. To uninstall the program, check the information that came with the program.
