Guest rockyrockrock Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I don't know where this thread is supposed to be, so I'll post here.My laptop specs:XP Pro SP32GB RAMI'm trying to connect a 40GB PS3 and my laptop via WLAN. Both are set up with wireless internet and they can both connect to the internet. I'm using the Linksys router WRT54G v1.02.5.The PS3 has the media server access as enabled and I added a video file to WMP library. Now here's the problem: when I set the share media options in WMP, WMP will not see the PS3. I tried reading online and it all said WMP should automatically see the PS3. I tried scanning media server in PS3 but nothing was found. Is this a router problem, like do I have to open ports or something? If that's the case, I'll just use a switch or something. Or is it something else. Do I have to right click the folder with the file I want to share and enable "share this folder" or something?
