200mg Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I have created an nLite iso using a copy of winxpp sp2. I of course removed some components and made some tweaks. The resulting .iso boots fine, but after format when it begins "Copying Files" I get several error messages stating the install is missing files and do I want to "Skip" or "Retry". A few of these files I could tell belonged to the Games component which I chose to leave out of the install. I thought that by removing Games it should not prompt me for those files? The cd would probably work if I clicked "Skip" a few hundred times...anyone know what I did wrong..I've gone back through the setup and I can't tell where I'm messing up.
iamtheky Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 remove the offending items from your txtsetup.sif and dosnet.inf where present.if they are unneeded your load will go fine.
johnhc Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 200mg, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
200mg Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 I appreciate the reply. Here is my last session.ini On that last attempt I added only one SP (SP3) and made some UI tweaks for performance and WMP changes. I think I will start fresh and attach that last session.ini in an upcoming reply.Last_Session.ini
g-force Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 A few of these files I could tell belonged to the Games component which I chose to leave out of the installI can`t see that in your "Last Session.ini" - you removed only languages.Did you run nLite more than one time against the same source?
