Monroe Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Hey, in your other posting about firewalls I posted this about ClamWin ... it does not run unless you want it to run to check out a folder or download ... uses no resourses until you start it. This is from my other posting. You can check it out, might be what you want ... it's updated several times a day.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As for an anti-virus ... I use ClamWin ... I don't like an anti-virus program running all the time using up resources. In fact, I don't have any anti-virus program on my computers at present, if you are careful, it should work ... but I have ClamWin ready to go and also an anti-virus rescue ISO CD ... I like the Kaspersky Rescue Disk ... seems to be up dated more often but in a pinch, they should all be of some help.File Hippo - ClamWin download or other anti-virus software ... ClamWin still works with Win 98SE.... http://www.filehippo.com/software/antivirus/Free ISO Antivirus Rescue Disks: http://www.thefreecountry.com/security/ant...rescue-cd.shtml ... Kaspersky ISO RescueDisk: http://dnl-eu10.kaspersky-labs.com/devbuilds/RescueDisk/
