Problem with USB MODEM (CDMA)

Hi,

I have an old CDMA USB modem running on SXC-1080, protocol IS-2000 Rev 0-6. It was not in use for past many months due to the excess rates being charged for daytime usage by the TATA INDICOM (Indian CDMA Telecom Provider). The issue is that now i want to use it as a backup and when I installed it, I got the message MIN out of Range.

Assuming it to be a Software Problem, I removed and installed the software several times, each time removing the SIM and checking with the older SIM that is slow. Now I get a message that says Phone Locked on the Dialer. I tried creating a manual connection but the server will not respond.

I am in a fix as the technicians say that it has to be taken to the Service Center and Nobody in the household has that much time. My business hardly permits me a day off.

Is there any method by which the CDMA modem can be reset. If I format it then I will have to install all the firmware which I am not sure about: Apart from SXC, it used Qualcomm's software too as I found when it was auto detecting the drivers. Or is there any other way? Please let me know. I downloaded the CDMA Workshop but could not make head and tail of it, especially the MIN. It says the 2st 3 digits should be area code and last seven digits should be the phone number. But in India, the mobile numbers themselves are 10 digits and the area code the Workshop is showing is something different from that of Hyderabad (where I live).

Please help.
