alrichdesa Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Whenever My Computer Starts And The Desktop Appears The Start Button And Other Desktop Icons Flicker, However If I Run The Task Manager And Close It, The Flickering Stops Totally For This Session, Never Appears Until Next Restart. I've Ruled Out Malware As This Also Happened On A Clean Install Of Both Vista And XP. If I Do Not Run Task Manager And Open Another Folder Say My Computer And Single Click Anything Say C: That Too Begins To Flicker.I Wonder What Is The Connection Between Task Manager And Flickering?
Kotuku Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Do you have the very latest video driver? Only time I saw flickering was with Texas Holdem cards and getting latest video driver fixed that (and this was over a year ago).I assume you haven't allowed Windows Updates to give you its latest video driver? You always need to get such hardware drivers from the OEM.I appreciate that doesn't explain the link to task manager though!Kotuku
alrichdesa Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 I Rule Out Video Driver Too, I Am Using The Latest Video Driver And Windows Update Is Enabled. This Problem Started Just Today, This Has Never Happened To Any Of My Computers Ever! I've Enabled Dragging And Dropping(One Formum Said That This Is The Fix) But It Ain't Fixed. It Could Be Hardware But The Execution Of Task Manager Contradicts This As It Is A Mere Software. This Is The Weirdest Problem Ever......Thanks For The Reply Anyway!
