anthonyaudi
Hello i have a quick questionIm pretty sure im in the right forum for thisI have an automated office 2007 cd (basically i press setup and it just installs everything i dont have to touch anything for it to install)I am able to install this automatically in my winxp x64 cd it installs fine with no problems (this particular cd was made entirely with Nlite)now I am trying to do the same thing with my WinXP X32 cd (this one was made with HFslip) and when it gets to the part where I want to install office I get an error on officethe error just saysOffice encountered an error during installation and i have to press OKI did exactly the same thing I did for my WINXP X64 Cd and it does not workI have a folder in my source folder called AddOns and I have this command line in an install.batrem Office 2007%Source%AddOns\Office\setup.exethis line works in the winxp x64 version but does not in the winxp 32 version. The only difference I see is that I created the cd with hfslip and not with nlite. The version I created with Nlite I put in runonce %source%install.batthe version i created with hfslip I also ran nlite and wrote %source%install.batit will run the install.bat but it does not install office it fails.Anyone have any ideas? iamtheky
does it install manually (or throw a different error when run post install) on the x32 system? You arent by chance installing x64 exclusive pieces in your automated install (office forms x64 - sharepoint server x64)? anthonyaudi
no it installs perfectly fine if i try to install it after winxp is installed. the cd however does install fine in winxp x64 perfectly fine. There are files in the cd that have 64 in the filename like office64muibut ive never had a problem installing this cd alone after winxp 32 was installed. Its just when I try to inteegrate it into my cd it works fine on my fully automated x64 winxp but i get an error on my fully automated x32 cd

anthonyaudi
what does the /f parameter do?
iamtheky
thats the force for the 'reg add' command, so if there is an existing entry the user is not prompted for overwrite.
