JohnDoe Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Hello people, well, I'm kind of stuck- some help with my problem would be much appreciated.I used VLite to create a Windows Vista Home Premium Installation for my HTPC. I disabled a few services (deisgns, superfetch, etc..) and removed some components (eg printer drivers, security center, languages..).There's a PCI Hauppauge Nova SE2 Plus TV tuner card in my PC and this is where my problem comes in: The tuner can not be found within Windows Media Center. As soon as I click on "Set up TV signal" an error message appears, stating that no compatible tuner can be found in the PC (if someone is wondering: Yes, I did use the Hauppauge .reg file for Media Center use).Funny thing is, I had Vista installed before (treated with VLite) as well and it worked fine- but I can't remember which settings I chose with VLite the first time around.I set up another, full/complete, Vista installation afterwards and the card is found straight away.Note: I noticed that there's a Hauppauge checkbox in the compatibility list of VLite ("chose which of there you intend on using..") and I left it in.As stated above, any help would be much appreciated since I'd prefer a slim and fast Vista installation for my Media PC.Thanks
