Installing LANG after disabling them

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I've got a problem, I disabled languages components in nLite, but it happens that I need them now, so I tried installing them through regional settings, it asked me for the lang files, I put my original XP disc, copied files all good, asked me to restart, but I still can't see any asian font in IE or any other app, as if it didn't install them. Can it still be installed ? Or do I need to reinstall XP again  ?

Thanks :thumbup

Ryudo, I don't have the answer, but perhaps you can help us understand this dilemma many find themselves in. Please insert your original Windows CD and when it autostarts (double click CD if needed), select "Install optional Windows components." Find and install the needed languages. AND, please let us know what you learn. Thanks, John.

Tried that as well, didn't work, I had to reinstall my XP...I won't disable languages components anymore (although I used my bro's nLite'd XP, which I didn't know, had the lang components disabled), and I advise people to keep them also, seems like one day, you'll need them (want to learn new language, or just want to read some foreign webpages properly etc...) and it will avoid the trouble to reinstall Windows XP...
