Hi~ I am using WinXPsp3.

The size of directory "C:\windows\installer" is always keeping growing when i install new programs.

I would like to control it and I have tried to use

gpedit.msc -> computer configuration -> administrative templates -> windows components -> windows installer

-> baseline file cache maximum size -> setting -> enable, with number 0.

but this does not work at all!

is this the right way to solve the problem?

if so, could anybody tell why it does not work?
