still asks for key? (On fresh copy)

Okay...

I'm using XP x64 Professional with Service Pack 2. I use a new image everytime that has never been touched. I've tried so many times to get this to work on VMware my head hurts. Everythings works just fine but it still asks for the key. I can manually enter it in and it works, but its not 100% unattended (and thus for loosers).

I once attempted to use a fresh image, and only enter in the key (changing nothing else in nlite). It still didn't work. I'm out of ideas. If anybody has any to share i'd appreciate it!

Orchidomegaly, I notice that you show OS: Vista Business x86. If you are trying to run nLite under Vista to slipstream SP2 into XP, then that is not going to work. I would be surprised if the key is your only problem. If you don't have an XP x64 system to run on, then install your original CD on VM and run nLite there. I run XP x64 on my host/guest and have never had this problem. Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini, if you have further questions. Enjoy, John.

I am certain that the image is of Windows xp x64 pro with Service Pack 2. My system is x64, and i am really running on xp pro (the 32 bit version).

I've used nlite several times before also, and I can't make sense of this either. I have to touch the computer twice during the installation. To pick the partition, and to enter the key (the same one i put into nlite). I'll double check some settings in VMware.

Orchidomegaly, you are running nLite on a 32 bit system to slipstream a 64 bit system, that is not going to work. Please consider installing nLite into your VM (with x64 installed) and doing you work there. Here is a great tutorial for XP x64 integration. Please note the red print at the top. Enjoy, John.
